Lee Family Adoption

Help us bring our first child home!!!
At the end of 2017, Jefferson and I learned that we cannot conceive. Fortunately, God had been working on our hearts through the adoption ministry at our Church and, after taking some time to mourn and then even more time to research and pray over our options, we decided to grow our family through international adoption. On December 10, 2018, we submitted our application to adopt a special needs toddler from the People's Republic of China.
Over the next eighteen-or-so-months, we will be encountering the majority of our adoption expenses as we finalize our dossier, get our immigration approval and anxiously await the day we get "the call". We anticipate getting matched between the end of this year and the middle of next and will travel to China to pick up our child (affectionately nicknamed Lee Bao Bei) 9-12 weeks after we accept our match.
We are so excited to be five months into this process and are eagerly awaiting the day when we get the call that we have been matched with our child, but....
International adoption is so very expensive. The agency we are going through (Chinese Children Adoption International), is transparent with not only their fees but the anticipated expenses that accompany adopting from China, including US and Chinese government fees, Visa applications and travel expenses. In total, we are anticipating spending $30,000 to bring our child home. While Jefferson and I are able to cover a portion of these costs through our savings, we've hit the point where we need help.
This is where you come in!
They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, we need our village to help us become parents! Whether you can just pray for us or if you can donate any amount to cover our adoption expenses, it would mean the world to Jefferson and I.
All funds raised will be directly used towards adoption-related fees. We are also applying for a couple grants through our church and other agencies in a hope to avoid financing.
Thanks so much for your love and support!!! We'll keep you posted.
