Lee Marsh's Treatment Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi,my names Claire Marsh. I have set this page up to help my uncle and his family while he undergoes one of the worst times in his life.
My uncle Lee has been diagnosed with a extremely rare tumour (50 cases in the UK). The Glomus Jugular tumour is at the base of his skull. It has meant he has lost his voice and also developed tinnitus in his ear which is irreversible.
Because this tumour is so rare there is only one hospital in the UK that can deal with this and that is St Bartholemews in Central London.
After being in London this week, they have told Lee that this sort of tumour can't be removed but can be treated with regular specialist radiotherapy but unfortunately that can't be done at UHCW,Lees local hospital. Which means regular visits to London.
Lee and his family get no help with travel expenses or accommodation and unfortunately all Lee is able to apply for from work is statutory SSP which goes know where near to cover every day bills let alone costs of hotels, travel etc to and from London.
This tumour unfortunately Lee is going to have to live with for the rest of his life. And will need to make regular visits to London for monitoring
It would be amazing if we could all show our support and help Lee and his immediate family in any way we can.
