Lee, Todd, and Todd’s mom have lost everything to house fire

On Feb 4, at approximately 9:15 pm, Lee's and my home caught fire and was completely destroyed within an hour. My mom (who has dementia) lives with us, and she and I were home in bed when the fire erupted. I was able to get us both out, but unfortunately, our dear old pooch Rosie was not as fortunate. Lee raced home from work, and the three of us sat and watched valiant firefighters and neighbors try to save our home. Within three hours, the home was gutted. All that's left is fragile framework, which will be demolished later today. Everything is gone, and all we have is the pajamas Mom and I were wearing and the clothes Lee wore to work.

Red Cross volunteers arrived on the scene and provided us a couple of nights' stay at a nearby hotel, so we have shelter and beds while we try to figure out what's next. It's been a sleepless night, but we have to be productive today and keep Mom healthy and safe while figuring out what's next for us.
