Lee Tou Lee

Hello everyone! My name is Hlee Chee Lee and I'm the cousin of Lee Tou Lee. I first met Lee Tou when I visited Thailand in 2018 and was happy to meet my first cousin from overseas finally. I thought, "One day, we'll see each other again." Now, I will never be able to see you again.

Recently, we received the tragic news that Lee Tou is no longer here with us. It is never easy losing someone close to you. Lee Tou was 26 years old and lived in Chiang Rai, Thailand with his family. Lee Tou was a kind, gentle, and loving person. Lee Tou was a son, brother, husband, and cousin. He was the breadwinner and provided support for his family. He married his wife (Lig) in 2020, and they both have a son. Within six months of their marriage, she was four months pregnant when he had to leave for work in Israel.

For over two years in Israel, he only contacted his family through virtual calls. When the war broke out in Israel, Lee Tou and other Thai workers ran to survive. However, on October 10th, they were captured to be held as hostages, tortured, and then killed by the Hamas. On October 22nd, Lee Tou and the Thai workers' bodies were found and retrieved back to base for confirmation. On October 26th, Lee Tou’s body was confirmed, and was sent back to Thailand.

His family was devastated and were in disbelief when they heard Lee Tou was one of the victims. He left behind his wife, his 2-year-old son, his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He never got the chance to meet his son and see his family for the last time.
