Leeds Hindu Temple , UK - Covid Funds

Dear Murugan Devotees,

 

We are humbly approaching you with this GoFundMe effort to help the Leeds Hindu Temple (Mandhir), Hindu Charitable Trust, Charity No 258281, 36 Alexander Road, Leeds LS6 1RF.

 

As you are all aware that due to Covid, the temple has been under tremendous financial strain. The lock down and COVID restrictions has resulted in dwindling income to our temple.

 

Our monthly Lord Murugan pooja was also impacted for 18 months through which, we estimate that the Mandhir would have earned in excess £7000 (based on 2019 collections and earlier years average earnings).

 

Even with the COVID restrictions being eased, we are yet to see the temple recover to pre COVID conditions. Murugan special monthly poojas, Devotees attendance and funds coming to temple hasn’t reached normal levels.

 

Leeds Hindu Mandhir has been a long supporter of our Murugan monthly poojas and major festivals. In these poojas and religious events our families have cherished many peaceful and happy gatherings. It's time we come together as a community to help our temple during its difficult times.

 

So, we have set this one of a collection effort of £10,000 as a way to show our support and solidarity to the temple. The temple president has been consulted and consent has been obtained from him. Funds collected would go towards mandhir expenses and urgent maintenance needs.

கோவிட் கட்டுப்பாடுகள் தளர்த்தப்பட்டாலும், கோவிட் - க்கு முந்தைய நிலைக்குக் கோவில் மீண்டு வருவதை நாமின்னும் பார்க்கமுடியவில்லை. முருகன் சிறப்பு மாத பூஜைகள், பக்தர்கள் வருகை மற்றும் கோவிலுக்கு வரும் நிதி ஆகியவை சாதாரண அளவை எட்டவில்லை.

 

லீட்ஸ் இந்து மந்தீர், நமது முருகப்பெருமானின் மாதாந்திர பூஜைகள் மற்றும் முக்கிய பண்டிகைகளுக்கு நீண்ட ஆதரவாளராக இருத்திருக்கிறது. இந்த பூஜைகள் மற்றும் பண்டிகைகள் மூலம் நம் குடும்பங்களுக்கு முருகப்பெருமானின் அருளும் ஆசியும் கிடைக்கப்பெற்றோம்.
