LEE ELEMENTARY MAKERSPACE
The students and teachers at Lee Elementary School have created this GoFundMe campaign to create a MakerSpace - a learning area specifically created for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) activities.
At Lee, we believe that science, math, technology, and engineering need to be a daily part of learning. All of these skills are vital to our students’ success in high school, college, and careers.
The value a MakerSpace provides is the opportunity for authentic learning through free exploration and innovative problem solving. In this environment students collaborate, create, communicate and connect globally.
Funding would be used to transform our outdated computer lab into a MakerSpace where students can create, invent, collaborate, and learn. We will be using donations to equip the MakerSpace with many different types of learning stations including robotics, movie making, stop-motion video, coding, Legos, 3D printing, virtual reality, deconstruction area, craft area and collaboration space. Thank you for your generosity and support.
