LeeRoy Rogers Family Fund
Donation protected
This fundraising effort is sponsored by Drury University to help aid LeeRoy's family during this time.
LeeRoy Rogers unexpectedly passed away from Covid-19 symptoms on Sunday, October 11, 2020. LeeRoy was a father, husband, and football fanatic that worked at Drury University for the past 16 years.
The light in LeeRoy’s life was his son, Joe Rogers. LeeRoy wanted everything for his son so he went out to get a job at Drury University so his son would be able to get a wonderful education. Joseph graduated from Drury in 2011 and went on to explore the world much like his father.
Unfortunately, like for so many of us, 2020 has been a continuous wave of hardship and pain. LeeRoy became sick and Joe and his wife left their lives on the west coast after 6 years to spend time with his father and his mother during this difficult time.
Joe got one month with his father before he was rushed to the hospital for Covid-19. There, LeeRoy spent two weeks in the hospital before passing.
Joe and LeeRoy had a special connection you only read about in stories. LeeRoy would call his son constantly by shouting “Hey Son!” and then trailing on and on about football, stocks, or politics. LeeRoy was a talker and Joe loved listening.
With LeeRoy’s passing, the Rogers small family of three (Cindy, Joe and his wife) have a long hard road ahead of them. Your donations will go towards medical bills, house payments, utilities, groceries, and mental health support. All contributions will go directly to The Rogers Family.
We know that Covid-19 is affecting us all in challenging ways, finances included—so whatever you're able to contribute is deeply appreciated. If you're moved by their story, please consider sharing this with your circle of family and friends.
