Leesa Roper Dunn's cancer reconstruction surgeries

As many of you know, my daughter Leesa has been battling aggressive life threatening oral cancer since her diagnosis in 2016.

Since that diagnosis she has had multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and countless surgeries.

Her voice box had to be removed, hence she can no longer speak.

She is not able to swallow, not even a sip of water, and is entirely dependent on gastric tube feedings for fluid and nutrition.

The many surgeries to save her life have also left her with disabilities and with some disfigurement.

Leesa continues to battle for her life and her independence.

The silver lining is that she has remained cancer free since 2017. We have no words to adequately express our gratitude for that!!

In the last year Leesa has undergone four major reconstructive surgeries that were performed by an amazing surgical team at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Since Leesa and her husband Trent live in Fort Myers, Florida, it has required them to travel to Baltimore four times this past year, incurring expenses for travel and lodging each time.

In addition to those expenses, they have had enormous out of pocket medical bills that her insurance did not cover this year.

Therefore, I am asking for financial support to help my courageous daughter and her wonderful husband at this time.
