Legacy Elite Gymnastics Club building expansion

Donation protected
Legacy Elite gymnastics club opened on the Isle of Wight just as covid hit. Sharron the owner of Legacy Elite converted an old milking cow shed to provide the first purpose built gymnastics club on the island. The milking shed was kitted out with some good equipment to get the gym started. An elite squad was formed as well as running toddler and recreational classes from the small building. The squad girls over the last couple of years have achieved fabulous results at competitions despite lots of hurdles, with the latest results saw 7 of the 8 girls make history by going through to the South Region finals and all 7 girls made the Hampshire squad. Fabulous achievements considering they don't even have a floor space to practice routines. The gym has room for bars, beam and a tumble track, compared to mainland facilities where they have huge purpose built gymnasium with foam pits, full size sprung floors etc. When our gymnasts go to their 1st competition it is usually the first time they've stepped foot onto a sprung floor, let alone tumble on one. Which goes to show how good our little club is and what more the squad girls could achieve if they had the same facilities as mainland clubs.
The original plan to expand to create a floor and foam pit was into an ajoining building, but this was badly damaged in high winds and has since been removed.
Last year we did lots of fundraising which went to some much needed equipment, this year Sharron invested a lot of money upfront into having a new steel framed building built so she could expand the club by replacing the building that had been damaged and removed. Unfortunately after lots of delays she received the bad news that the business went bust. After alot of phone calls she was told that the building was outsourced to another company BUT the money that Sharron had paid hadn't fully reached them (the original company had paid the deposit to have it built but not paid the rest). So there is now a shortfall to be paid to release the building (which has been built). The shortful is £3200 to get the building, we then need to get it transported from the supplier to the Island so we can finally get it assembled to give the squad and all of the islands community (as they plan to expand to cater for all ages and abilities including adults) a proper gymnastics club with all of the facilities you'd expect. Please help raise these funds. We are fundraising also as a club as the clock is ticking before we lose our building and Sharron loses all of her money. The club has been through some really bad luck, but the results speak for themselves and that's down to the fully qualified coaches, hard work and passion from all. Any small amount would be hugely appreciated. Thank you from Team Legacy. X
