Legacy Fine Arts Non Profit Start Up Funds

Every student deserves a fair chance at success and the opportunity to participate in school fine arts programs!

 

Legacy Fine Arts Inc. NFP is striving to become a Fine Arts center for youth in Joliet, IL ages 5-18. Our programs are open to all students. A special focus will be on helping youth from low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds.

 

Why Legacy Fine Arts?

Music and theatre can be incredibly powerful outlets for people everywhere. The arts have the power to lift people and communities up. They are a crucial part of our city's heritage and culture, and investing in these tools and resources for our children can promote them to having productive and fulfilling lives. The fine arts can address areas of academics and social-emotional learning like no other subjects!

Music and theatre can provide stress relief, confidence boosts, encourage problem-solving, and improve our overall quality of life - both as performers and art consumers!

 

The City of Joliet is known as the City of Champions for its world-class bands, music, art, theatre, and history found throughout the city. We want to help promote our future champions!

 

After School Programs

After-school programs have many benefits, including social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development. Safe and supportive environments for our students can help close achievement gaps for low-income students.

 

So Who's Running This?

A professional music educator , a leader in theatre performance and education, and a Hollywood composer, to name a few. In short, people connected to our community that have the expertise and experience in the arts and education and that care to put this program in place.

 

What Are Funds Used For?

 

There are more costs involved with music than people might think. It costs money, but it's worth it. We have to cover things like facility rentals, insurance, professional instructors, program supplies, instrument rentals, and marketing and advertising costs. In short, we're trying to reach as many kids as we can and provide as many lessons and programs to the kids in our community.
