Legacy of Love: for RJ following the loss of his dad Ryan

Hello everyone,

On December 27, 2024 my brother-in-law Ryan Arsenault suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was rushed to hospital. Despite wonderful care and all our hopes, Ryan passed away on Friday January 3rd, a day before his 39th birthday.

Ryan was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a grandson, a brother-in-law, a cousin, a true and loving friend and most importantly to Ryan, he was a proud, fun, protective and loving father to his 12-year old boy RJ Arsenault.

His family and friends can attest to the fact that RJ was always a light in Ryan's life. RJ kindled a softness in Ryan and allowed Ryan to both grow and strengthen as a man. At the same time, RJ also allowed Ryan to embrace his inner child. Whether it was blasting each other with 1000 NERF bullets at a time or whirling RJ around on his shoulders, it was always evident that Ryan loved RJ deeply. To hear the two of them laugh together and see the twinkle in their eyes at the same time was a magnificent thing.

With Ryan's passing we are left with a hole in all our hearts. Every one from family to friend is hurting.

This fund was set up because many of Ryan's loving friends and family expressed an interest in helping provide for RJ's future in Ryan's absence, which is a beautiful gesture. Financially Ryan didn't have much to leave to RJ. The goal is to create a financial assistance to provide RJ coverage for education or life expenses as he becomes a young man, as Ryan would have loved to be around to provide. Every dollar raised will go to RJ on his 18th birthday and a completely secure investment will be setup between now and then.
