Legacy Trip feat. Tina Strawn and EbonyJanice
Donation protected
Legacy Trips are 3 day antiracism + yoga trips visiting the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration in Montgomery, Alabama, where we utilize some of the principles, practices and philosophy of yoga as tools to dismantle racism.
In October, we are hosting a very special trip that is designed for Black womxn only, led by Tina Strawn and EbonyJanice, womanist scholar, author and activist.
The vision of this particular trip (and raising money for to fully fund this trip) is:
To protect black women by having our own space...
Our own space to reflect and grieve, to be vulnerable and to heal, and to celebrate and rejoice, unapologetically,
Our own space to face the tragedies and triumphs of our ancestors,
Our own space to strategize ways in which we can contribute to tearing down systematic racism,
Our own space to unpack our own internalized oppression,
And our own space to share our stories about how we got (and are getting) free and how we will help others get free.
It is our desire to gift this Legacy trip to12 Black women + the facilitation team who will attend.
Thank you for your contribution to helping us reach our $10k goal in honor and celebration of Black women healing and being in community with one another in a protected space.
