Legal expenses for Alexandra and Denis

Hi, I am Dmitry Genis and I am raising money for Alexandra and Denis Gaponov.

A young Russian couple (Denis, 24, and Alexandra, 23) fled Russia in January 2023 and are residing in Boston since February 2023. They escaped Russia out of fear of imprisonment after Denis was detained for protesting against the war. There were also fears of possible mobilization for the war in Ukraine immediately after this arrest. Denis has been very vocal against the war in Russia and that would have brought dire consequences if he had continued voicing his discontent. Denis worked as an electrician and Alexandra worked as an HR specialist inside Russia before fleeing. They have tried reaching out to their family members, but have received no help whatsoever, which is why it is important to help them with their future in the US as a hard-working couple. They have shelter and food, but they need money for initial legal expenses for a US immigration lawyer.
