Legal fees and memorial costs for Joey

Hello,

My brother was tragically killed Saturday July 23rd, 2022, by a drunk driver. The driver hit my brother, and then fled the scene. Luckily, the Kalispell police department was able to find the vehicle, and the driver, and she was arrested, and is currently being held with no bond.

My brother had a rough start to life, growing up in the foster care system, and aged out without a high school diploma. He moved in with me in Montana while I was stationed there to help him get back on track. He stayed behind when I got orders elsewhere, and called Montana home. Joey had suffered personal issues in his life, overcoming many of the obstacles from childhood. He had a few rough patches in his life, but had finally made himself a priority, and had his life on track to “the beautiful life” he pursued and deserved. Prior to his death, he was working at a restaurant 6 days a week, where he managed to save enough to finally rent out his own place. He was clean off drugs, and working towards his dream life of just being happy, and eventually start a family.

The woman who committed a drunken hit and run, stole my brothers hopes and dreams, and brought devastation to our small, and now even smaller family. She stole his future, something he worked so hard to get to where he was, and was going to worker even harder to get to where he wanted.

The donations collected will go towards giving my brother the memorial he deserves, and the expenses that come with that. A small portion will go towards retaining an attorney as well.
