Residents of Foothills County and Residents of High River
We are 3 weeks away from the appeals hearing with the Environmental Appeals Board to hopefully overturn the approval of the Rimrock Renewables Biogas facility.
Hi, my name is Benita Estes and I, along with a number of other residents (4 being Statement Of Concerns filers) of Foothills County and High River have retained Gavin Fitch of McLennan Ross to represent us as clients in the appeal process of the approval of Rimrock Renewables LTD biogas facility located next to Rimrock Feeders.
Without the Statement of Concern filers there would be no appealing this approval.
We (clients) are raising funds for the continuing legal representation in the appeals process and for the retaining of experts to testify on our behalf regarding the design and operation of this facility.
Even though the group of residents above has retained Gavin Fitch this appeals process is being carried out for the greater good of all residents that will be negatively affected by this project, living in Foothills County, High River and Okotoks.
This project is an Industrial designated project to produce methane gas for the creation of Carbon Credits to sell to Fortis BC. It will have an open 20.7 acre open sewage/septic effluent lake which will negatively affect neighbouring residents, High River residents and wildlife. This project is essentially an energy producing project draining 330,000 cubic metres of water from the Highwood River. Trucking in 80,000 tonnes of waste from Calgary equaling 19 trucks per hour on our country roads It doesn't belong among residential properties. The size and scale of this project has absolutely no positive value in this area.
