Lego League Competition - 2024-25

Donation protected
Hi everyone

I am writing on behalf of a fantastic group of committed students who love working together.

Over the past 5 years, Bathgate Academy has entered at least one team into the First Lego League competition and been incredibly successful both at the regional and national competitions and also within the classroom when learning new skills and working as a team. If you would like to see more about the competition, please follow the below link:

As the years have gone on, it has become more expensive to enter the competitions and there is less funding now available. Our aim is to raise £200 to enter the competition for this year and if there is anything additional, put it towards buying our own robot so we do not need to apply to loan it every year.

The students also have thoughts about why they would like your help:

Stem club provides students from our school with the opportunity to learn new skills and take part in competitions
Students can learn skills like coding, teamwork and perseverance
Stem club is also a very social club
We have been doing it for years and don’t want to stop now!
We are from an area where there isn’t much funding available for extra activities/clubs so funding for our club would mean students have access to the same opportunities as others.
Even a little helps

Thank you for taking the time to read this information and if you donate, thank you very much!
