The Lei of Aloha for World Peace sends love to places in the world where there is suffering and reminds us all that we are connected through ALOHA. Aunty Pilahi Paki once said, "The world will turn to Hawai`i as they search for world peace because Hawai`i has the key and the key is ALOHA."
Given the current events in the world, our goal is to bring Aloha to the European countries where Ukranian refugees are seeking safety. We will be working with a group of former Peace Corps volunteers and the Friends of Ukraine. The intention is to purchase Hawai`i themed gifts of comfort such as blankets and coloring books to share the warmth and aloha.
On Friday, March 18th, Lei of Aloha is hosting 2 events:
Azeka Market Makai at Nalu's South Shore Grill: 100% of all Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will support the children of Ukraine. All day musical kanikapila with musicians donating their time and talent: Anthony Pfluke with Na Kane Ke (Ethan Villanueva and Keola Dumlao) Rama Camarillo / Tarvin Makia / / Mitch Kepa / Kawika Sabado / Kenny Roberts / Brado Music
Azeka Mauka - Ekolu Kitchen 1279
• Executive Chef- Partner Geno Sarmiento has created a special four course bistro dinner in support of this worthy cause at his newly reopened restaurant ekolu kitchen1279 ($100 per person).
• 100% of Dinner Sales from ekolu kitcen1279 will go to the children of Ukraine
o Music for the evening will be provided by Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning singing artist, Amy Hanaiali'i / Jarret Robeck / Eric Gilliom / Vince Esquire
