Leigh & Teresa Rubin Need Our Help

My husband Dave and I are asking for help for our friends, Leigh and Teresa Rubin, who we have known for years. Leigh is the creative genius behind the 14,000 “Rubes” cartoons that have amused the world for more than four decades.

Now this wonderful guy and his family need our help.

In January, Leigh’s beloved wife Teresa suffered a catastrophic brain injury. She is in a coma and on life support. Leigh and family members stayed by her side at a local hospital ICU following the accident, but she has now been moved 300 miles away to a Northern California specialized care facility. The hope is that with more time and care, Teresa will recover.

Teresa is one of those truly lovely people who just bring brightness wherever she goes. She has a wonderful sense of humor (Rubes’ first line critic) and a generous heart. She is a devoted wife, mother, and friend, and is “Gigi” to four beautiful grandchildren. Teresa and Leigh’s 40-year marriage is a powerful example of love and dedication. They are soulmates.

And now they are in the throes of a horrific situation.

Leigh is focusing every bit of his time on Teresa. He has moved temporarily to be with her.

Expenses are quickly mounting.

Your help will relieve some of Leigh’s financial worries, as well as demonstrate love and support for the Rubin family.
