UPDATE 11/05/19
We really are barely able to think past the shock to update everyone. We received devastating news about our little guy today. The cardiologist informed us that Quazimoto has severe stenosis and valvular hypoplasia. He is not a candidate for surgery due to an underdeveloped valve and root which would make the balloon procedure impossible. He shows severe symptoms of stress on the right side of his heart which is overcompensating. We were told he doesnt have much time left. Quazimoto will remain in fospice with us here. Together and with everyone's prayers and good thoughts we hope to keep him with us and enjoying his life as long as we can. I wish I had better news and know that my heart is utterly destroyed. The bill for today came to 780.00 and we will post a receipt. I would ask that you continue to support us so we can cover this and any other care that will be in Quazimoto's future.
As someone who has a heart disorder herself I think this angel came to me for a reason.
Thank you. Please keep Quazi in your prayers and hearts.

Treasure's Hope
Please welcome Quazimoto to Treasure's Hope. Quazimoto is a 6 month old English bulldog puppy with special needs. While his breeder attempted to find him a home one of our board members saw his post and was concerned. We reached out to the breeder and brought Quazimoto into our organization so we could make sure that his medical needs were addressed and he didnt end up in the wrong hands. English bulldogs have a host of health issues but more so when there are rare colors involved. We didnt want Quazimoto to end up in a situation where he might be used for just breeding purposes and not have his medical needs taken care of. His breeder alerted us to a possible heart murmur and elongated soft palate.
While we of course were upfront with the breeder about our feelings regarding breeding in general (we do not believe in breeding any breed represented in shelters or rescues )we did say that we would not bash them as they did not cull the puppy or give it to just anyone. We also asked that in the future should they have any pups with special needs that they reach out to us so we can help safely place them.
UPDATE 102719
Quazimoto was seen by our vet who says he has a grade 2 heart murmur but without further testing we cant know that 100%. So Quazimoto will be seen by a cardiologist who will clear him for his palate surgery or let us know if theres something else going on. He will then be seeing a specialist for his palate surgery and neuter if all goes well.
His surgery alone is estimated at $2500 please help us to make sure this beautiful baby can breathe easy and run and play like a puppy should.
We CANNOT do this without your help! We donate to rescues and help individuals to keep pets in their homes so this is new for us. Every $1.00 helps so please keep Quazimoto in your thoughts and help us to continue helping others.
