Leilani’s Journey

This has taken some time for my family to officially come out and talk about. The main factor being we were still trying to cope and figure out the situation ourselves. My mother, Leilani, is one of the strongest women I know. All my 23 years of life she has never once showed me she was scared or afraid of anything. That is until now, As time continues to move forward, the news of my mother’s illness spreads. For those who have yet to hear, starting off 2019 was a very rough start, unfortunately my mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout the weeks of finding out there have been a roller coaster of feelings coming and going as well as a lot of tests, phone calls, and unexpected expenses. My mom has always been a hard worker. She typically works 5/6 days a week but with her officially starting her chemo treatment and with it continuing to go on for the next 5 months she will be taking the time off. After her chemo she’ll continue with her surgery as well as radiation and will continue to have that time off as well. During this time things are going to get extremely hard on my family as well as my mother. Here I ask If you could donate whatever you can to help with Medical expenses as well as my mothers regular monthly bills she has while she’s going to be out of work getting the treatment she needs.
