LEJOG for War Child
Starting on June 11, I’m cycling from Land’s End, Britain’s most southwesterly point, to John O’Groats, Britain’s most northeasterly point - route also known as LEJOG. It’s fulfilling a personal dream, but I also want to use the opportunity to do something a bit more meaningful.
I’m cycling in support of War Child, a charity that works for the protection of children affected by war all around the world.
The route is just under 1,000 miles (or 1,600km) with almost 20,000 metres of elevation. It goes through England, Wales and Scotland. I’ll be aiming to finish it in eight days.
Your donations - in whatever amount - are very much appreciated. There’s sadly too many places in the world today where charities like War Child are desperately needed.
I’ll be matching 100% of whatever amount I raise. This matched amount will be split evenly between Dobry Andel, a Czech charity helping families dealing with serious illness, and GiveWell’s Top Charities Fund, which evaluates and gives grants to the most cost-effective charities globally.
