Leland Pond Restoration Project

Donation protected
The Leland Pond is located in Leland, Wisconsin and was purchased by the Honey Creek Rod and Gun Club in 1954.  The Leland Pond has been enjoyed by many generations for fishing, ice fishing, picnics, kayaking and canoeing .  Also, many events have taken place there over the years such as weddings, anniversaries, graduation parties, birthday parties, family reunions, etc.
Another vital and important use of the pond is local fire departments have a fire hydrant there and use the pond for fighting fires in the area.
The intense rains and floods during the summer of 2016 damaged the Leland Dam and emergency spillway.  In November of 2019, the Department of Natural Resources requested that the pond be emptied until proper restorations and repairs could be made.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to repair the deteriorated concrete and repair of the spillway and last but not least, re-stocking the pond with fish.
The members of the Honey Creek Rod and Gun Club are asking for support in restoring the beautiful and historic Leland Pond so it can be enjoyed by many more generations to come.
Donations will also be accepted in person by the Honey Creek Rod and Gun Club Board or you can drop off donations directly at the Bank of Prairie du Sac in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin under the Honey Creek Rod and Gun Club/Leland Pond Restoration Project.
Thank you in advance for your donation and support! We GREATLY appreciate it!
