Lemon Love

This fundraiser is for 2 Lemon Pointers-- Jack and Jill (click on their names to get to their Facebook recovery albums. Jack came into our program from an over- crowded shelter in Kentucky. He is in our Heartworm slow kill program and is also being treated for 3 tick borne diseases. He is a very special Pointer and so happy to be in a loving foster home while we continue his care.

Jill is our newest rescue Lemon Pointer coming in from Tennessee the week of 4-28. She was found dumped on a rural road and thankfully a kind family took her in while we work on moving her north. We will be taking her in for much needed blood work soon, but we can assume like Jack, she will be infected with a few tick borne diseases. She surely has some intestinal parasites and with some TLC we hope to help her gain some much needed weight. She is happy in spite of her neglect.

It's possible Jill will have heartworms but we are prepared for that. Our vet gives us a good discount which makes the blood work possible, but treating a dog with heartworms and tick borne disease can be expensive.

We know things are tight for everyone right now, but if you can spare a few bucks for either if these special dogs, we would appreciate it.
