Dear friends and kind-hearted individuals,

My name is Dani and I am reaching out to ask for your support in helping my parents recover from a devastating loss. Their home, which was a source of pride and joy for them, was completely destroyed in a fire caused by a generator explosion.

My parents, who are now 63 and 64 years old, live in a small town in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa where life is already tough for many people. Unfortunately, their challenges have only increased as they were previously impacted by my father's construction business going under. Despite these setbacks, my father worked hard to build them a small cottage using donated materials and salvaged fixtures from previous renovations. It was a labour of love that finally made their home feel like home.

Due to frequent power outages, my father was using a generator when it exploded, leading to the loss of their home. My mother, who was barefoot at the time, and my father, who sustained burns trying to put out the fire, now find themselves without any possessions and in need of support.

I am asking for your help in raising funds to give my parents the support they need to get back on their feet. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a huge impact in helping them rebuild their lives.
