Len Babb Movie Project
Donation protected
I am very excited to announce that Figure 8 Ranch Films will be producing a movie about the life and work of our friend and legendary buckaroo, Len Babb, from Paisley, Oregon. Len is a lifelong cowboy and highly accomplished western artist whose story deserves to be told far and wide. Dr. Larry Len Peterson, author and scholar of the American West and recipient of the Charles M. Russell Western Heritage Award, has proclaimed Len as the natural artistic son of Charles Russell, which is enormous praise and born out by the authenticity and legitimacy of Len's paintings, sculptures, and drawings. Please consider a donation to the "Len Babb Movie Project" at GoFundMe.com. Every penny counts and every penny will go toward paying to produce this film. I won't pay myself but I will pay for excellent videography and original music. The vision for this film is to have a legitimate submission to Sundance, and to premier at the Western Folklife Center in Elko, Nevada. We have assembled an excellent team, including celebrated videographer Sam Pyke from hillshadowpictures.com, as well as musicians Jim Cornelius and Mike Biggers, who will compose an original score of music. Len's story is authentic, and beautiful, and exactly the kind of story we need to be telling and preserving for present and future generations to know, understand, and celebrate.
