Uplift our Star Chef Francis Layrle of Washington DC

Dear friends, family and food lovers in DC, NYC, France and beyond,

Our *family* is reaching out to YOU-our incredible *community* of friends, family, partners and patrons to appeal to your generous hearts in helping uplift and bless our beloved Executive Chef Francis Layrle and his loving wife of 40yrs Catherine during a most difficult time.

Our dearest Francis, has been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, it's rare, aggressive, and as such their life has been put on pause to focus ALL energy and efforts into battling this monstrous disease. Upon learning of his diagnosis, the La Piquette family, as well as the close-knit DC Chef Community as been inundated with well wishes, prayers and requests on how to help Francis and his family during this trying time.

Every patron, friend and colleague, past and present holds a special place in Francis's heart and soul. And to know Francis, or even just to meet Francis, is to love him. To meet him, is to know his loving wife Cat, daughter Magali, and especially his 3 grandchildren, as if they were your own family. To know Francis is to know how much prouder he is of his own family than of his own numerous professional accomplishments. To know Francis is to know how incredibly proud he is of his 3 grandchildren "Rosie" (10), Monroe (7), and Morgan Marius (2), named after Francis' own grandfather.
