Rebuilding Hope: Journey After the Lahaina Wildfire
Hi, I'm Rhoda Cabuyadao, a single mother raising two beautiful kids, Sakura and Cheysen. On August 8, 2023, my birthday turned into a day of devastating loss as the Lahaina Wildfire swept through our home, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs and a few essentials.
The wildfire struck suddenly, giving us no time to gather our belongings or even process what was happening. In the chaos and uncertainty, we were forced to flee, hoping against hope that we would return to find our home untouched. But reality hit hard, and we faced the harsh truth of starting over from scratch.
As a single mother, the challenges have been overwhelming. With skyrocketing rents and limited resources, finding a permanent home for my children has become a daunting task. Every day is a struggle, but I refuse to give up hope.
That's why I'm reaching out for help. Your generous donations will not only provide us with the means to rebuild our lives but also offer us the chance to find stability and security in a permanent home. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference in our journey toward recovery.
Together, we can turn this tragedy into an opportunity for growth and renewal. From the bottom of our hearts, Sakura, Cheysen, and I thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support as we navigate this challenging chapter in our lives. With your help, we can rebuild, thrive, and create a brighter future for our family.
