About “Solace”

Solace takes of more than 3,000 kids with serious illnesses, mostly cancer in Kerala, India. Solace was founded by CNN-IBN ‘Real Hero’ Ms. Sheeba Ameer after going through a personal episode of her daughter. She dreams of a world where every kid gets total care – unconditionally. She dedicates day and night, 24x7 to materialize this vision through Solace. For more information, please visit https://solaceglobal.org/

About this fundraiser

Around 400 of Solace kids are currently undergoing active treatment at Trivandrum RCC (Regional Cancer Care) and need to stay near the hospital for around 5 to 8 months depending upon the treatment situation. The major expenses involved can be categorized into four areas.

  • Hygienic accommodation (Even the smallest space costs around Rs 10,000 near RCC)
  • Supporting medications outside of govt/hospital provided
  • Food for the patient and bystander
  • Travel, mainly from and to the hospital

Though Solace is currently supporting these kids with their maximum capacity, the need is way more than what they can offer. They wish, they can extend an additional support of Rs 7,500 (~$100) for each of these families. Care & Share is trying to support 100 kids with $100 for 5 months.

Would you consider supporting one pediatric cancer kid?
