Lending a Hand to JD's Grieving Family

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we must inform you that we lost a Brother on April 4, 2025. Jack Daniel “JD” Luevano succumbed to his battle with stomach cancer. He was diagnosed back in 2023 and fought really hard for nearly 2 years. JD is survived by his wife Danyka, 5 children, family, and his Brothers and Sisters at SMUD and IBEW 1245. JD was a Cable Splicer/Electrician Apprentice (Downtown Network Dept.) at SMUD when he was diagnosed. He had previously worked in the Substation department as a High Voltage Electrician Apprentice. Not only was he eager to learn, but he was very passionate about his work. Always ready to learn and lend a hand to anyone. No matter what was going on in his life, he always had a smile on his face. His pride and joy was his family. He hated missing any of his kids' events. He loved coaching his kids and being at their games. In his free time, he also enjoyed hanging out with his friends and riding his motorcycle.

JD was his family’s sole provider. So at this time, we would like to ask for donations. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Donations will help with funeral expenses and support JD’s family with bills as they grieve the loss of their Husband and Father.

Thank you for any support you are able to provide his family to ease their financial burden from losing JD.
