Lenny's Story

Hello, my name is Leonard (Lenny) Toner. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story. Just recently, I was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer, an aggressive form of cancer that spreads rapidly. I have decided to move back to Ohio to be around relatives and receive treatment from The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio.

Because of this illness, I had to quit working in Florida where I managed a living cutting and trimming lawns for clients. Symptoms of fatigue, shortness of breath and loss of appetite have prevented me from continuing to support myself properly. Any amount you could contribute would be greatly appreciated and would be used for living expenses and travel expenses to the hospital for treatments. More importantly, I would appreciate your prayers for healing from this dreaded disease.

Regardless of how this ends, I want to thank you for considering supporting me during this trying time in my life. I also thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing me to see every new day as they are precious. My hope and prayer would be to get through this and back on my feet.
