Open doors to support for Leo - Autism Assesment

I've decided to rise above all my anxiety about this and reach out for help for my son Leo to have a Autism Assesment privately as the wait list publicly Is so long.   

Leo is 7 he has Adhd combined hyperactive / impulsive - inatentive, genralised anxiety disorder, sensory processing difficulties  and on the public wait list for a Autism Diagnosis . 

Leo is a beautiful , very smart  boy but with big feelings,  struggles with emotional regulation , social settings , social interactions, sensory processing , demand avoidance and anxiety . 

On a bad day he will be over the fence running away , hurting himself or others . 

He has not attended school in months despite his multiple attempts he's not coping . 

Leo has been in the public system for about 5 yrs now and from the beginning I have been requesting to be referred on for a Autism Assesment which was denied until recently.  

I have fought my way through the public system advocating for my son . to be heard and supported for so long. I am pleased now he has been referred for the assesment as so much time has been wasted and the ship to access early intervention funding  through ndis has sailed based on his age . He is 7 . The cut off is 7 . He was denied a supporting letter by paediatrician  when I asked for that support 2-3 Years ago .  

The public waitlist for this assesment is a minimum 15 months plus delays due to covid . 

My only hope in having that come any sooner is going private . For the private assesment it is $2000 - $2500 ( if speech is included in the assesments ) plus an additional $255 pre assesment consultation.   

Approx $300 Ndis supporting letter if but hopefully we get that far . 

I am reaching out for support for my son to beable to access this support and understanding this diagnosis can offer him .

To open doors that have been closed for so long . 

We do not have any savings ,  I cannot work because I need to be available to him.  I have tried other avenues for the money before coming to this decision . 

I hope you can find it in your hearts to spare a couple of dollars to help him .. he deserves it .
