Leon Bedwell ALRA Foundation Acting Diploma

Hello, my name is Leon Bedwell and it is with great pleasure that I have found myself to be an Actor. An Actor that has been offered an opportunity to further their training which can only be possible with your support. I have been accepted onto The Foundation Diploma course at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, London (ALRA) this September. It is not possible to apply through Student Finance to cover any fees or accomodation costs for this course. The fees for the course are £6150 and accomodation in London is probably another £600-650 per month, and then I would quite like to eat from time to time too. This is far more money than I am able to find on my own before September, I am hoping that by reaching out to friends and my community your generousity will support me to raise some of these funds.

Performance is part of who I am, It's something I have always done and was something that was instilled and cultivated in my by my late Granny, from letting me dance around her studio in Tutu's, to taking me to see my first theatre shows. Then finally when I was 7 I was able to join the local drama group, The Fisher Youth Theatre Group, FYTG, with whom I took my first steps onto the stage at The Fisher Theatre. Being part of a company from a young age, I have experienced stage performances, street concerts, film workshops, drama festivals, LAMDA courses and exams. As I grew out of being a member of the youth group I have continued to support FYTG as a facilitator of workshops, online and in person, a musical director, assistant director and director. I understand the hardwork required and I am fully committed and passionate about a career in theatre and, hopefully, also on screen. I am staging a Summer concert at St Mary's Church, Bungay on Saturday 21st August at 6:30pm to raise more much needed funds, if you are able to perhaps you would come along and I could entertain you, tickets sold at Bigod's Kitchen, Giddens & Thompson, Imperial Wine Co & Hair Haven.
