Leonardo’s Mast Cell Tumor Removal

Hi everybody,

I’m creating this fundraiser for my dog, Leo. This sweet angel has been by my side for 10 years and was recently diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor.

I had originally noticed a spider-looking bug bite a few weeks ago on his belly and kept an eye out on it to see if it’d go away but unfortunately it grew and turned pink. I took Leo to Banfield in Costa Mesa and they tested the bump and confirmed it was a tumor. Next step is to schedule surgery to remove the tumor, then to send it out and test the grade of the tumor to see what stage& how serious the tumor is, essentially clarifying if it’s removed or will spread. The sooner the tumor is removed the better, as it could spread as quick as two months.

quick back story- I’ve lived on my own since young teen years and I got Leo because I needed protection and was always alone. He’s not just my dog, he is my angel and savior I’ve dealt with domestic violence, depression, problems with my mental health, etc. The one thing that has been consistent and always kept me motivated to continue day by day is my dog, Leo.
