Leonel Rojas

A few months ago we learned the devastating news that our beloved brother, Leonel, was suffering from a very serious medical condition...he was in liver failure. Within a month, he fell ill very quickly, and was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit. We immediately learned that he was in critical need of a liver transplant, however, he was not immediately eligible for an emergency transplant.

Leonel is just 47 years old, and the father to a very sweet 4 year old, who frequently asks when Daddy will come home. In hopes of being closer to the hospital, Leonel's family is staying in the Bronx, just in case they need to arrive quickly at his bedside.

Just shortly after a visit from his son, just over a week ago, Leonel fell into a coma and had not regained consciousness. We all remained hopeful and prayed every day for his recovery. It is with deep sadness that we share that Leo has passed away.

At this time, we are trying to make arrangements for his funeral service.

We are also desperately trying to get our parents here from Mexico, as they are heartbroken, and truly need to be here, with family, as they begin to process this devastating loss. As we plan his funeral, we know we will need significant financial assistance, so we are opening this GoFundMe page, in order to honor Leo in his passing, and prepare for his funeral arrangements.
