Leo's Brave Battle Against Leukaemia
Donation protected
Little Leo has just begun his very brave battle against leukaemia.
Last Tuesday, 30th January, Leo's parents Nat and Jai took him to hospital after being unwell and not improving. Within hours, Leo was taken by ambulance to Westmead hospital after tests confirmed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
On Friday, 2nd February, Leo had a lumbar puncture and began chemotherapy via intrathecal infusion on Saturday. He has since had a bone marrow aspirate and is now receiving chemo through a central line. This will remain for two years; the duration of his treatment.
Leo will receive chemotherapy twice a week and is due to have two more surgeries in the coming weeks; bone marrow testing and another lumbar puncture.
Nat and Jai are by little Leo's side while their other five children; Sampson, Leila, Violet, Stella and Harper are at home missing them and their baby brother terribly.
Nat and Jai are unable to work during this time which brings great financial hardship upon the family. In order to support them all, it is our wish to relieve the pressure by creating a platform in which people can assist. Prayers and well wishes are also requested.
This page will be updated with Leo's journey, so stay tuned!
