Robert LeRoy Mize, 79, of Oskaloosa, KS passed away on February 12th, 2021. LeRoy was a veteran and business owner, enjoyed motorcycle racing, fixing cars, and woodworking. But of all the things he loved, he loved family the most.
He joined the US Army in 1960 and served 6 years. He started his own autobody shop in 1974, operating until 1994 when he suffered an injury that forced him to close the business.
In 1964, LeRoy married Mera Frances Mize, nee May. Together, they raised their children: Derek Lee, Torey Alton, and Roberta "Bobbi" Maxine. He is survived by a sister, Jacqueline Lee Quiett, and by his wife, his 3 children, 2 daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, 4 grandchildren, and 4 step-grandchildren.
He was a loud SOB with an uncanny ability to fix anything. He could tell a story a mile long with his thundering voice. He was often the biggest personality in the room. And he was a wonderful father, grandfather, husband, and friend to many. He will be missed.
Please help us ease the financial burden on his family by making a contribution.
