Leroys journey and fight against his cancer

Dear family, friends and community
Leroy Carpenter needs our support at this crucial time, he has been diagnosed with 4th stage lymph node and tongue cancer around a month ago.
Years ago owned a business in town. When people needed help he was always there to lend a hand no matter the weather, time or cost. He enjoyed his customers and helping when he could.
Leroy has always been a man that loves the outdoors taking walks, watching the wild life around us, loved when we had our horses and animals to go to barn help take off them, or work in garage puttering with stuff. Always active wanting to go places do things.
Now the sparkle in his eyes is gone for the things he use to do and can't anymore. Leroy needs to get that hope and twinkle back.
I'm not the type to ask for help but in this case I don't know what else to do. My heart is broken along with trying to get him to appointments, things he needs to get through this along with trying to work full time has put a huge strain on everything not only mentally for us but financially.
I have had to take days off for his appointments, stay home due to he is not feeling well, or run home from work to help him.
I feel so bad for him because he can't do anything to help and has told me he he feels like a burden and helpless to do anything for our situation. He needs to concentrate on getting better not worrying about everything else.
He was doing ok able to do things for himself and things around the house till a year ago in April he ended up 3 months in hospital with sepsis. Got him home but had to get his strength back to be able to walk again, which he can do but had to use a walker plus came home with a catheter in that he had to go get changed every month which has made for him another obstacle he is faced with.
To get to any appointments he had to have transportation with a wheelchair which in turn has created enormous bills due to they don't take our insurance. Along with all the hospital bills besides.
But
Then last year the day after Christmas back in hospital he went for 3 weeks this time. Only this time when he was in hospital he asked the Doctors about his throat. They more or less said it wasn't anything to worry about just a lymph node swollen from an infection he had.
Got out of the hospital he started to improve as far as walking with walker fixing his lunch when I was at work doing a few things for himself.
Then his lymph nodes, tongue started to swell up, having to go from eating pizza, meats, toast, vegtables everything he enjoyed to not being able to eat any of it was starting to bother swallowing. Finally he was sent to a specialist that's when we were told he had cancer.
We have had so much to deal with these last few months. Leroy with this cancer and catheter. Going out getting his treatments and has had 4 radiation treatments that have went ok with more Dr visits to come.
I'm trying to keep up on house, working when I can, talking care of him, trying to keep him a little up beat, then the non ending bills of transportation, Drs, hospital, along with future bills from all this. Going to get groceries trying to figure out what he can eat because now everything he eats has to be pureed for him, finding things that he can eat. Made a roast with potatoes and carrots but for him it all had to be pureed he looked at me and said it's good only if the stuff wasn't blended up eat it whole. I felt so bad about it he loves homemade meals being pureed there is a lot that doesn't even sound good to him anymore.
Every contribution, big or small, will have a direct impact on Leroys fight and journey against his cancer. Your generous donations will not only cover the cost of the transport to appointments but will also also help ease the financial stress of additional treatments, medical bills and time away from work.
Please donate today and share this campaign with your friends and family. Together, we can give Leroy the hope and strength he needs to fight this battle and come out victorious. Your kindness and support will forever be remembered and cherished by Leroy, his family, and all who love him, thank you.
