Urgent Need on Lesbos: Refugee Aid
Donation protected
This is your chance to directly aid the refugees living in the hellhole known as the Moria camp on the island of Lesbos.
I'm not a good writer but here's our story: My husband and I are going to Lesbos in December to volunteer at the refugee camps. The worst is the family camp called Moria. I will be there.
It will be cold and rainy. There are thousands and thousands of humans living in the most squalid of conditions for weeks on end who need water, tents, diapers, soap, toothbrushes, you name it. They need everything you would need to live rough after trekking thousands of miles to reach safety.
please read this blog for one person's eyewitness experience: report from the camp
Please, please help me help them. I am a 68 year old woman, living on Social Security, travelling on my own dime to do what I can, including cleaning. But we need soap, brushes, trashbags, bleach. It would be great to spend 1,000 a day on medical supplies, baby milk, clean underwear, raingear, etc, and maybe a toy for a child.
If you can come and volunteer, that would be wonderful! But if not, let me be your agent!
We will spend Every Penny for Refugee Aid, Every Penny. We will see the need, drive to town and buy needed items and return. Everyday for 2 weeks. What a huge difference your money will make to lives of those dying to have any kind of a life, let alone what you have now! Please share, Please send now.
Give yourself this gift of helping. And give peace a chance.
what else can I say?
