Leslie’s Chance for Motherhood

Leslie is one of the therapists at my clinic. Mr Right hasn’t made his appearance yet and she’s made the decision to freeze some of her eggs so that she can have children in the future. Unfortunately Leslie is only able to work part time due to being in a masters program for another year and doesn’t qualify for a loan due to her lower income while she’s in school. She has low AMH levels which means her egg supply is low and is getting lower each month, so she can’t put off this egg retrieval. If she doesn’t have the egg retrieval soon, she may not be able to have a child of her own.

Leslie would be an incredible mom! She’s always willing to help those in need and always looking for ways that she can help someone. She always is striving to be a better therapist and looking for ways she can help and advocate for her clients. She’s got a big heart and genuinely cares for those around her. She’s also given so much of her life to serving others and deserves to have the universe pay her back for that dedication and selflessness.

If any of you know Leslie personally, you know what a big heart she has and she’s probably been there for you in a time of need.

Some of you may have worked with her incredible mom, Keena. Leslie has definitely inherited a lot of her mom's great qualities! When Leslie was growing up her parents took in foster kids (163 total). Leslie always made every effort to make sure that her foster siblings felt welcome and cared for and saw them as her siblings rather than “foster kids.”

There’s hardly any funding out there to help those in “helping” professions like social work and there’s no funding assistance for social workers trying to start a family.

Leslie has always wanted to be a mother and it’s heartbreaking that in order to make that happen she’ll need to go through fertility treatments. Leslie was her mothers “miracle rainbow baby” and she understands how hard this journey can be. I know Keena would give anything to make this journey easier for Leslie if she could.

Leslie needs funds for the egg retrieval (and she may have to have more than one), medications, and other related costs.
