Lester Needs Our Help to Recover

Many of you know Lester Hornig (78 yrs old) a.k.a. Bear, as a father, grandfather, partner, good friend, and simply a wonderful human being. Last month Lester had a severe GI bleed that led to serious and difficult medical challenges that very quickly escalated. As it turns out, he is in need of more specialized care which his medical insurance does not cover. He is currently still in the hospital and the plan after his stay there is to move him to a rehabilitation center where he will live full-time for an estimated 3 months trying to regain as much function, independence, and strength and stability as he can before returning home.

Throughout the past seven years since his wife’s passing, Lester’s finances have not been as abundant as they once were. He has had many life changes and losses during this time. Lester has always been full of love and support for everyone he knows and now he really needs our support emotionally and financially at this difficult time in his life. Due to this significant financial impact, we are reaching out to our family, friends, local community and beyond to open up donations to help offset the costs of medical bills, rehabilitation, transportation and caregivers.

Lester has always been there for our community. Time and time again he has devoted his time, money and love to helping people in need. Now it's our turn to repay the favor. Please show your love and compassion, as he has sooooooo many times in the past. We are writing on his behalf, as he would never ask, to request assistance in helping pay for his upcoming treatment. Any donation made will be greatly appreciated and go directly towards his medical care. It is important to remember that no donation is too small, especially if the reach is large. Let’s band together as a community and help give Lester immediate assistance to give him the best care possible and hope for the future, so he can get back on the path to healing and living a fulfilling life.
