Lester's heart surgery

On Friday, July 29, 2023, the Rowell family experienced the most terrifying moment of their lives when Lester Rowell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother suffered a heart attack. The doctors couldn’t believe he was still living, the two main arteries were 99% blocked, and a third was 70% blocked. As a result, he underwent triple bypass surgery.

Lester's journey to recovery will begin with the support and love from his family and friends. The Rowell family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated Doctors, nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport. Their compassion and kindness have not gone unnoticed, and the family is forever thankful for their selfless service.

After those intense days, Lester being the sole provider for the family is now faced with the mounting burden of medical expenses and can’t return to work for several months due to the type of work he does.
