Hi!
My name is Ryan Buffa and I am preparing to shoot my sophomore short film, LET ME CALL YOU SWEETHEART.
While traveling to a family cabin weekend, Rose, a traumatize sexual assault survivor, finds a shocking object on the road that forces her to stop and investigate. What she discovers leads her to confront her own past traumas while testing her intuition as she helps a mysterious stranger.
My team and I are incredibly grateful for the support received on my first short film, APPLES & ORANGES, which was accepted to 8 film festivals around the country and won "Best Local Short" at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival. We are thrilled for the opportunity to make a new film together with your continued support!
I have an amazing team of people - from the best in their craft to those who are getting started in the film industry and want a chance to test their skills. I've been amazed by the kindness of my friends and colleagues and the hard work they are putting into this project. As an Atlanta native, I'm proud to continue filming projects in Georgia.
We are raising $15,000 to rent equipment, reimburse products used by crew, set dressing, location, production insurance and food to take extra care of our crew (who are working for free)! A portion of our budget will go towards post-production, marketing, and festival submission fees as well.
I've received incredible support from colleagues, friends and family so far to help get things off the ground and making this film a possibility. Now I'm asking for the fiscal support so I may create a safe and enjoyable production for those involved.
