Let Them Learn Goes to Ghana

Education is a right. Those that have it, often take it for granted. And those that don't, often suffer. After studying structural inequalities and their effect on children in developing nations, I felt compelled to take action. Education is a path to empowerment and I know we can use it to find equitable solutions. Firstly, they need to know what they're entitled to: their rights. So, I created my own educational organisation with a mission: Get human rights education into the hands of those that need it most. Hence, Let Them Learn- my first-ever start-up, was born. The first of our new educational programs will take place in Ghana this summer. In order to help with the first (of many) projects of this kind, we are in need of funds to cover operational costs and travel expenses. Here’s where you come in as a future patron! The money you donate will go directly to cover costs for international travel and all that it entails (visas, vaccines, etc). It will also go towards covering the costs of teaching materials that will be provided for teachers and students during workshops and professional development sessions, which is essential as online materials aren't always appropriate in rural areas. By supporting this project, you are helping create opportunities for others to expand their knowledge. And knowledge is power. I truly believe education is the most powerful tool to create both the belief that change is possible and the framework through which it becomes a reality. Thank you for helping us with our mission!!
