Let us Celebrate the life of James Gober Jr

Yesterday we received the phone call that we were totally unprepared for. James Gober Jr, little James, baby James, or his professional rockstar name Yng Osiris had taken his life after a crushing breakup. For years little James had battled depression.

A little about James Jr:

James was so silly. He used to make up character voices and had the entire room laughing. He was fiercely independent. He marched to the beat of his own drum no matter how you liked his beat. He was courageous in his style. He was so gifted, musically and artistically. He loved his friends and was extremely loyal. He was a brother, a son, a grandson, and a father. He was so kind and would give people whatever he had left if it meant helping them. He loved UGA.

He always felt like he had something to prove to the world. He used to tell me that he was going to be famous. He didn't know how, but he knew he was destined for greatness. He was determined in that. He created a backyard wrestling company.

I'm truly glad to have been able to be a part of this amazing man's life, although it cut far too short. Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten. We are thankful that he will be remembered by all his friends and family members. We ask that you remember him, not for what he did, but the person he was. The world will be a much smaller and colder place without him.

We are working with his mother to put together a memorial service for him where we will celebrate his life. Please help us by donating, sharing this, or by telling us how he impacted your life.
