Let's Bail Them Out

On Tuesday over 100 people went to the New Hampshire capitol to ask our Governor to support HB106, a bill that would repeal the student voter suppression law passed here last year. Ten of them were arrested for refusing to leave the governor ’s and secretary of state’s offices. They now face up to $2000 in fines per person. I'm asking folks to help support their bail, legal fees, and any fines that may result from their act of civil disobedience. Are you in?
For the past year we've been fighting for students to be able to vote here in New Hampshire. In 2016 when people started saying voter fraud was happening in New Hampshire the legislatures decided to go after students first. We asked our Governor to protect student voting rights and he said he would “never do anything to suppress the student vote.” A few months later he signed in voter suppression law HB 1264. He lied to us. Now the governor has a chance to keep his promise by signing Hb106.
These young people have risked a lot. Can you help us raise some funds to support their bail, legal fees, and fines?
