Let's bring Howard Bunsis to Stony Brook

We are a coalition of Stony Brook University staff and faculty affiliated with the University Senate and the UUP. We are trying to understand why SBU seems to be in a perpetual state of budget crisis. Last fall a small group of faculty contributed their own money to hire forensic accountant Dr. Howard Bunsis to prepare an independent audit of SBU finances. That report was presented to the Stony Brook University Senate in early March. Faculty and staff have many questions about both the report and the administration’s response to it. To answer those questions, we have asked Dr. Bunsis to come to campus on April 5 to discuss his findings. This campaign is intended to raise the funds to cover his round trip airfare from Detroit to NYC, a rental car for his local travel, and a small honorarium to pay for his time.
