let's BUILD a KITCHEN for these STUDENTS!
Tax deductible
On September 29, I ran the Berlin Marathon with my friend, Jim Higley. We dedicated our training and 26.2 miles to raise funds to build a kitchen for a very special school I was introduced to during my travels to Tanzania earlier this year.
The Ganako Primary School has nearly 500 students - ages 5 to 13...taught by 18 teachers. These children walk or cycle up to 12 km each way daily to gain access to what we all know is their ticket to a promising future: an education.
The school is in desperate need of a kitchen. The wooden shack which previously served as a "kitchen" has blown away by strong winds so the staff now prepares the limited food they can prepare in the open. Our goal is to raise $5,000 from friends and family WHICH WILL BE MATCHED $ FOR $ by Gigi Season's new philanthropic division, Gigi Cares: Projects for Humanity. Our philanthropic division will support other causes around the globe - including more support for Ganako Primary School - with a portion of our profits year-round.
The following photo shows the wooden shack they currently use as their kitchen.
The following photo is a prototype of the kitchen our funding will provide.

We appreciate your donation. For that you'll not only have our gratitude for helping these children - we'll also raise a stein of beer in your honor at Octoberfest in Munich (a perk of running a race in Germany this time of year!).
