Let's Get Nikk Flying Again

Donation protected
As many of you know Nikk Audenried was involved in a very serious accident in his Kitfox airplane on November 3rd, 2018. He sustained a broken eye socket, shattered and dislocated right wrist, 5 broken ribs, and both legs were badly compound fractured, with the right one being so badly broken that they had to remove 4in of his tibia. We have high hopes that Nikk will make a very strong recovery but it will be a long rough journey to get there. One thing is for sure, he is lucky to be alive.

While he has a very long road to recover ahead of him, Nikk is one tough dude and is taking every hurdle head-on with an insanely positive attitude. And while his insurance has been good to him, it has become evident that it will not be enough to replace his beautiful airplane that he built with his own two hands. It's time that we come together to help get him his wings back! In doing so we can give him something to look forward to and work towards as he deals with this very painful and slow recovery.

For now we are just looking to get the build going, we don't want to be greedy but you gotta aim high right?! We are setting the goal for the cheapest we could build a new Kitfox at $65,000. If things go beyond there by some random chance then the money would go to making the plane better and safer. With any luck maybe one day we will see a ribbon hanging off this plane after winning a Lindy award at Oshkosh ;)

This is going to be more than just a campaign to help fund Nikk's airplane build, it is part of a community effort to help a young pilot overcome this very huge hurdle in his flying career, and it doesn't end here. The entire build will be documented and shared through YouTube where everyone can both follow along and key in with their input through comments and polls. We would even like to find a way to involve you guys in being hands on with parts of building the airplane when possible. It takes a tribe!

As a token of our appreciation anyone who contributes (with the name attached) will have their name on the airplane somewhere in the final paint scheme, and as mentioned above everyone (whether you contribute or not) will be able to follow along and chime in during the entire build. It will be as if we are building it together.

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out and sent Nikk letters and gifts. It is truly amazing how supportive this community is.

We truly appreciate all the love and support. You guys are awesome.
