Let's get Pan de Vida rolling again

Hey guys! So as many of you all have heard or seen I have been back in Nicaragua to see two people that we all love and care about, Kevin and Sarah. I have been here for about 3 weeks now and it's been amazing but whats really brought some pain to my heart is the suffering that has taken part because of the political unrest that started last May. Hotels and tour operators have largely shuttered, and tens of thousands of people are without work. This also left Kevin and Sarah to work even harder to keep Pan de Vida operating but even more so make sure to keep their employees working and able to sustain a job while business was slow.
I have met so many people here and the love and admiration they have for Kevin and Sarah is absolutely overwhelming. The fact that they managed to keep their business open, make sure their employees had a job to support their families and not let the political unrest deter them from leaving back home is something that the community of Granada appreciates and most importantly admires.
But let me make one thing clear....this wasn't easy for either one of them. Keeping the business open while having to pay their employees, electricity bills (which are even more than what we pay for in the states SMH), product inventory expenses, mortgage payments for the bakery, and supporting themselves is something that I don't even know how they managed to do.
Tourism is slowly rising and returning to Granada but it has still been tough to get back to where they once were. I have faith that they will but I also know that there are a lot of friends that would love to support and encourage the success of this beautiful business but most importantly our friends.
I am reaching out to see if any of you awesome people would love to join Daniel and I in giving our friends a little boost that would surely go along way. Kevin has been one of my greatest friends, as I look back on our friendship I can't even count how many times I was stuck in a rut, whether it be a tire situation, needing a friend to talk to or just his effort in taking the time to hang out with me because I was feeling down. I'm almost positive you all can share many of these stories too, not to mention the many probably hilarious moments you both have shared as well. Sarah is also the backbone of the bakery, she was there for Kevin when he first got to Granada burned himself accidentally while learning how to manage to wooden ovens, but even before then while they were both in High School in Moody, TX. She is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, so giving and kind, and always looking to help someone out or give them some love and words of wisdom when they are down. I'm so thankful Kevin has introduced and brought her into my life, they both would literally give the shirts off their backs in order to help someone else out. So I'm thinking while our friends are working their asses off, we could come together and give them something that would honestly go a long way.
Whether it be a contribution of 20 bucks or 100 whatever your able to contribute will for sure be able to help our awesome friends out and give them a little pick me up as they are rebuilding from the aftermath of the government uprising. I plan on making a collage with pictures of all of you with your personal notes for Kevin and Sarah and present it to him this Sunday August 10th, and will place it somewhere in the Pan de Vida so they never forget how proud we are of them, how much we miss them, and most importantly how we always have their back.
I also encourage you to send this to whomever you think would like to contribute, this is also a SURPRISE to Kevin and Sarah and I plan to take a video for all of you to see and read out any messages that you all have left for them, so please please don't share publicly because we don't want to ruin the surprise. :)
