Ashley Desperately Needs A Car. Here's her story...
Imagine being a single woman - no children, great job, 401K investments, and you just purchased your very own home. You hear about 3 siblings who need a home as their parent struggled with an addiction. Not wanting to see them placed in foster care or separated, you raise your hand to stand in the gap. You have a home, food, and most of all love! Being a mom would be new but you’re never not up for a challenge.
For 3 years, things are going pretty good. You raise two of the kids so they can graduate. And you still provide support to them here and there. But without warning, you lose your job! Then you become behind on your mortgage payments, even after cashing out your 401K to take care of the day-to-day for you and your family of four. And then, as life continues to unravel, the car breaks down.
No job...no money...and 3 people depending on you what do you do? You try to make things happen but you just can’t seem to catch a break!
That’s where we step in...Ashley’s greatest need right now is a car. She needs to get access to a job that will get her on her feet while also being able to on a moment’s notice get one of the kids who has grown ill back and forth to doctor’s appointments. We can be her relief. We’re not looking for anything fancy. Just something to get her from Point A to Point B.
